Teaching piano is a carefully developed skill which takes patience, nurturing, encouragement and optimism. I have always loved interacting with children. Their excitement about life, the fresh way they look at things, the funny way they may express themselves at times, and the heartfelt things they can say are some the many reasons I never get bored of teaching children. As a piano teacher, I take a student on a musical adventure – – a journey of discovery, of self awareness, and a development of appreciation for beauty that goes beyond words.

There are many times when a child needs to be expressive and creative and nothing suits this desire as much as sitting down to play the piano. Playing the piano is a joyful endeavor, and fills one’s heart with all kinds of emotions. There are certainly times when technical aspects of playing seem difficult and frustrating to a child. There is a great lesson here. With a kind and professionally experienced piano teacher, all can be overcome. We take a moment, do not judge ourselves, but instead, embark with confidence that all will be worked out with patience, diligence and attention to details.

I have been teaching piano professionally since 1984 . With training and guidance from the best piano teachers in my field, I have honed my skills to accommodate many different types of children. In my studio, I can teach a child who has difficulty reading or moving their fingers initially, as well as I can work with a gifted student who is ready for performing and competitions.
